Glen Ellyn June 2018 Events
Glen Ellyn French Market
When: Beginning Sunday, June 3rd | 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Where: Main Street Train Station | South Parking Lot (between Main Street and Forest Avenue)
Starting June 3rd, and happening every Sunday until October, is Glen Ellyn’s very own French Market! Enjoy an amazing variety of vendors featuring different items like fruits, vegetables, baked goods and crafts. Stop by with the family and enjoy your summer Sunday at the market.
Cruising on Roosevelt
When: Saturday, June 16th | 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Where: Baker Hill Center Parking Lot | Roosevelt Road between RT 53 & HWY 355 (FREE event parking & shuttle available at 800 Roosevelt Rd.)
This new and free event is fun for the whole family. Enjoy a car show while your children get to participate in touch-a-truck, bounce houses, and dunk tanks. The event also will have food for sale. Don’t miss it!
Jazz in the Park
When: Wednesday, June 20th | 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Where: Maryknoll Park | 845 Pershing Avenue
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets over to Maryknoll Park for some smooth Jazz. This event features the wonderful sounds of the Glen Ellyn Jazz Ensemble. Settle down after work or a long day with this free event.
25th Annual Lake Ellyn Cardboard Regatta
When: Saturday, June 30th | 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Where: Lake Ellyn Park | 645 Lenox Road
Watch or participate in this fun event. The participants will race their cardboard creations along Lake Ellyn and be judged by a panel in some wild and silly categories! If you wish to race your creation, the entry fee is $50.00 per boat. Contact Courtney O'Kray via email here to enter.
Wheaton June 2018 Events
19th Annual B.R. Ryall YMCA Golf Classic
When: Monday, June 4th | 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Where: Village Links of Glen Ellyn | 485 Winchell Way
Gather at the event of the summer at the Village Links golf course. The event features 18 holes of golf and a party on the patio featuring live music and great food. Registration fees vary depending on your participation. Don’t miss this fun event helping the B.R. Ryall YMCA Scholarship Fund. Buy tickets and register here.
Wheaton French Market
When: Starting Saturday, June 9th | 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Where: Municipal Parking Lot 3 | Main and Liberty, Downtown Wheaton
Similar to the Glen Ellyn French Market, Wheaton’s time honored tradition turns 20 this year! Enjoy a great atmosphere provided by various food, craft, produce vendors and more. Bring the whole family to enjoy this great market.
28th Annual Fish-O-Rama
When: Saturday, June 16th | 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Where: Northside Park | 1300 West Street
This free event is sponsored by the Kiwanis and is an annual fishing contest! Kids 15 and under may register with an adult. Prizes will be awarded to the participants who catch the largest fish (5” minimum)! Be sure to bring your own supplies to catch your prizewinners!
Concert on the Park: The StingRays
When: Tuesday, June 19th | 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Where: Wheaton Public Library | 225 N. Cross Street, West Plaza
Get down to the crooning sounds of the 50s, 60s and 70s with The StingRays! This free event features a great band singing your favorite tunes of the past. Bring your chairs and blankets to the West Plaza at the Wheaton Public Library for a swinging Tuesday in the park.

Pop-Up Adventure Playground at Helen Plum Library
When: Tuesday, June 5th | 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Where: Helen Plum Library | 110 W. Maple Street
This event is perfect for kids of all ages! Drop in with your children for a morning of creative play with cardboard, tape, paper and much more. This spontaneous and creative event is sponsored by the Pop-Up Adventure Play initiative and is free.
Summer Carnival at St. Pius X Parish
When: Starting Thursday, June 7th - June 10th | 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Where: St. Pius X | 1025 E. Madison Street
Put some pep into your summer with St. Pius X’s summer carnival! Entry is free and there are rides, live music, entertainment, food and so much more! Carnival hours will vary by day so be sure to bring your whole family for the fun.
Lombard Cruise Nights and Summer Concert Series
When: Starting Saturday, June 9th | 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Where: Downtown Lombard | St. Charles Road and Park Avenue
Come to the 20th anniversary of the Cruise Nights and Summer Concert Series of Lombard! Going until August, this event features a car show with live entertainment. This family friendly event is free to the public. Find the musical lineup here.

Troll Hunt

Trapse throughout the arboretum enjoying their newest residents-- the trolls. Danish artist Thomas Dambo has sculpted wooden trolls that will be featured in various locations all throughout the arboretum. Bring the whole family to see Morton Arboretum’s latest residents.
Tea Time Social
When: Friday, June 22nd | 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Where: Cantigny Park Allee | 1s151 Winfield Rd. Wheaton
If you have a child between 4 and 9, don’t miss this adorable event. This tea time surrounds the celebration of the rose month and features finger sandwiches and tea or lemonade. The registration fee is $39.00. You can register your child for this event here.
Movies in the Park
When: Almost every Thursday throughout the summer | 8:30 PM - 10:30 PM
Where: Cantigny Park Bandshell | 1s151 Winfield Rd. Wheaton
All movies are outdoors and feature lawn seating. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, and picnics are welcome. Concessions are available by Mamie’s Toffee & Treats. Movies are free with paid parking of $5 per car.

Arbor Evenings
When: Almost every Wednesday throughout the summer | 5:30 PM - 7:45 PM
Where: Morton Arboretum | 4100 IL ROUTE 53, LISLE
Unwind with family and friends on Wednesday evenings at The Morton Arboretum this summer. Mingle as you enjoy live music and dancing, lawn games, refreshing beverages, and delicious tapas in a green clearing surrounded by beautiful trees. There’s no better way to celebrate the leisurely evenings of summer than this!
