The 3 day weekend is upon us, how are you going to celebrate? Here's a list of fun activities for you to enjoy America's Birthday to the fullest.


WEST SUBURBS

Glen Ellyn

  • Date: July 2,  11AM-3PM

  • Location: Lake Ellyn, 645 Lenox Rd

Annual Lake Ellyn Cardboard Regatta and great food at the first Food Truck Picnic in the Park

  • Date: July 4th, 8AM-Dusk

  • Location: Multiple

A full day of activities, including the Freedom Four ® Four-Mile Run at Glenbard West Football Field, Parade Downtown, $3 wristband at Lake Ellyn Park includes Moonwalks, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Eight penny carnival games, live music, dancing, face painting and finish up the day with fireworks at Lake Ellyn.


Wheaton

  • Date: July 3rd, 4:30-9:00PM

  • Location: Graf Park, 1855 Manchester

Food Vendors, Business Expo, Carnival Rides, DJ, and Fireworks at dusk

  • Date: July 4th,10AM 

  • Location: Downtown Wheaton

Parade


Naperville

  • Date: July 1-4, Noon-10PM Daily

  • Location: Knoch Park, 724 S. West St.

Don't miss Ribfest, one of the best festivals in the burbs!  Concerts, food, fun and fireworks on the 4th.


SOUTH SUBURBS

Frankfort

  • Date: Monday, July 4, 5-9:00 pm

  • Location:  Main Park,  200 S. Locust Street

$10 Wristbands Include unlimited access to inflatables, kids entertainment, face painting and carnival games


New Lenox

  • Date: July 4th, 7 PM

  • Location:  New Lenox Commons,  101 Veterans Parkway

Live music and fireworks 


Mokena

  • Date: July 4th, 10AM Parade

  • Location: Wolf Road heading north between LaPorte Road and Granite Drive (south of 191st Street)

  • Date:  July 4th, 6:30-Dusk

  • Location: Main Park, 10925 LaPorte Road

2nd Kentucky Cavalry Re-enactment, Encore Concert Band and fireworks


Orland Park 

  • Date: July 1, 7PM

  • Location:  Centennial Park, 15600 West Ave.

Liberty walk/run

  • Date: July 3, 5pm and 8:30PM

  • Location: Multiple

Free outdoor concert featuring The City Lights Orchestra at Centennial Park West from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  and a Flick-N-Float at 8:30 p.m. showing “Kung Fu Panda 3 at Centennial Park Aquatic Center

  • Date: July 4, 7:15-9:15PM

  • Location: Centennial Park 

Live music, presentation of colors and fireworks show.
